Your Roles & Responsibilities:

Your primary work will be with the Firm’s Medicaid Department. We will provide training on the specifics of Medicaid law, so you do not need prior experience in that field, although it would be helpful.
You have the desire, skills, and experience needed to lead the following activities, all of which require a high-level attention to detail, organization, and systems-thinking:
- Client Contact – Communicates with clients, financial advisors, insurance companies via mail, email, and telephone to gather information necessary to complete a nursing home Medicaid application or a community Medicaid application and other tasks related to the Firm’s core practice areas.
- Problem Solving – Proactively anticipates and resolves issues quickly to move the Medicaid Application forward.
- Information Intake – Gathers and organizes necessary documents (financial records, demographic information, etc.) to file a completed Medicaid Application with the Department of Social Services.
- Process Improvement – Makes recommendations to improve processes that will increase the service quality and efficiency and responsiveness to clients.
- Client Meetings – Meets with the client initially to have Medicaid application and supporting documents signed. Further meetings as needed to gather information.
- Timely Follow-Up - Organizes and prioritizes work so that deadlines are consistently met.
- Tickler System – Uses and regularly updates the Firm’s tickler system to track file activity and to document planned and completed work.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Empathy as a core competency.
- Excellent client service and communications skills.
- Associates Degree or Certificate in project management or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience working as project manager, candidates with a background in legal work are preferred, although this is not essential.
- Basic knowledge of Estate Planning documents, such as wills, powers of attorney, trusts and health care directives are a plus.
- Excellent proof reading skills and attention to detail.
- Solid organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze bank and other financial statements in order to track financial transactions between several different investment vehicles.
