2015 Medicaid Income And Spousal Impoverishment Standards

New York State Department of Health recently released income and resource budget standards for Medicaid applicants and recipients. GIS 14 MA/029 which is effective as of January 1, 2015 sets forth the following budgeting standards: Resource Allowance for Single Person: $14,850 Resource Allowance for Couple: $21,750 Minimum Community Spouse Resource Allowance: $74,820 Maximum Community Spouse Resource Allowance: $119,220 Minimum Monthly Maintenance Needs Allowance: $2,980.50 These figures reflect a very slight Cost of Living Adjustment of 1.7% from 2014.
