2021 New York State Medicaid Resource Limits

New York State Department of Health recently released income and resource budget standards for Medicaid applicants and recipients which is effective as of January 1, 2021, and sets forth the following budgeting standards:

• Resource Allowance for Single Person: $15,900
• Resource Allowance for Couple: $23,400
• Minimum State Community Spouse Resource Allowance: $74,820
• Maximum Federal Community Spouse Resource Allowance: $130,380
• Minimum Monthly Maintenance Needs Allowance: $3,259.50

These figures reflect a very slight Cost of Living Adjustment of 1.3% from 2020. Check out this link if you need additional figures (SSI, Medicare Part B premiums) for your budgeting purposes.
